One of the Signy's I cut vinyl for has just got himself Sign Wizard.
So now he does his own layouts and gets me to cut it - using SignLab.
Trouble is, my version 5.63 doesn't wanna know about his .eps or .ai files.
Neither does Corel 8 or Vinyl Master Pro.
I can however import the .eps into my SignLab e6...but I don't like using that much.
So I'm currently importing wizard.eps into e6, exporting as .ai, closing e6, opening 5.63, then importing the .ai.
That works well, but I'm wondering if anyone out there has any other suggestions?

Thanks,
Neil Riley

Why not sit down with this guy and find out what he is doing wrong? Then teach him how to export those files in a manner that you can use directly!

Just my $.02 worth ($.04 Oz)

I use SignWizard.
if you want I'll send and EPS and AI to see if mine will open. I also use CorelDraw 9 and it opens both AI from Signwizard and Signwizard EPS files just fine. I have the VinylMaster Pro demo and it opens my SW EPS files as well.

Si, Apparently there's only one option for exporting from signwizard - you don't have to convert to curves or "loops" or whatever, ya just select and export.
Wayne, My VMpro is v2, so maybe they have changed the filter with the upgrade?

Anyway, I have found the answer myself...Use coreldraw postscript interpreted! I remember having to use this a while ago when the normal .eps failed.

So now I can import into Corel, then hit the special "Corel to Signlab" button - kindly provided by the good folks at Cadlink ;- , then it appears in SL ready to go.

If nothing else, I hope this is of use to someone out there.

Cheers, Neil
