In less than an hour, the San Francisco Giants will face off against the Anaheim Angels in the WORLD SERIES!!!! It feels so good to say that! My family and most of my friends are die-hard San Francisco Giants fans.
My lucky devil of a husband actually has a ticket to Wednesday night's game. He offered it to me but I don't really want to drive 7 hours each way by myself even to see a World Series game.

Before anyone says anything...yes, I know that the "S" is upside down. I fixed it after I looked at the photo I took.

Don't tell anyone but if the Giants weren't playing, I'd probably be rooting for Anaheim. They are a scrappy little bunch. I have a lot of respect for them. They're still gonna lose though!

Woohoo! Giants take the first game (4-3) in Anaheim. The Angels gave us a tought time but JT Snow's 2-run home-run nailed it.

"Pitch to Barry" and they did, and how sweet it was for him to get his first World Series Homerun in Game 1 at his 1st at bat. We are fans ,but my daughter is an avid fan and will be hanging out at stadium although we could'nt score any tickets, we might go and tailgate anyway. We have been to about 8 games this year including 2 playoff games, one against Atlanta, and the other St. Louis in which both, the Giants were victorious. It was INSANE sitting in the bleachers with thousands of people smacking "thunder-sticks". Those WS tickets are going for big $ in the Bay Area, but the loyalists are not selling! If ya' gotta spare please call. Today I actually painted a Giants Logo on a window at a Hair Salon in San Anselmo, CA for some loyal fans along with a promo. I had a "SAY HEY" on one side , with the logo(Giants across a baseball) in the middle, and a World Series Special in the other window. It was fun,...and I got paid to do it. GO Giants......

Rich, I'd love to see a picture...did you take one? My husband is from San Anselmo. What a small world.
Here is a picture of the "refrigerator magnet" I had my dad letter for us a few years ago when Candlestick Park closed. He did 3 of them and I gave the other two to friends.
For the uninitiated...a Croix de Candlestick pin is what you received if you survived an extra inning night game at Candlestick Park - possibly the coldest place on earth. I've been to games there when they had to call a delay because the fog was so thick inside the stadium you couldn't see the players on the field. The pins are badges of honor among the die-hard fans. You'll go to a game and see these old men with rings of them around their hats.
My husband's father first bought his season tickets when Candlestick opened in 1960 and now we have our tickets to Pacific Bell Park.

OK the Angels "squeeked it out", but when they come up here the "monkey" will get spanked again! These teams showed us last night why they are in the World Series,...what a great game. Kimberly, I will post that pic when I get that roll developed. I predict the Giants in "5"

I know what you mean Amy. I keep telling my husband that we can't move to the East Coast because we couldn't stay up late enough to watch baseball! We spent a week in the Cayman Islands (they are on Central Time) during the LCS and I had to fight every night to stay awake for the games - I usually lost!
