I don't know if this is much help, but Lamar Outdoor Advertising still uses the paper. You can check out their site at Lamar Outdoor Advertising.

How large is the board. Is it one of the smaller boards, or is it one of the 14' x 48 boards?

One thing about those paper billboards, they look good for a while, but they will eventually tear, and fall. I think I would go ahead and panit it. If it is a 14' x 48 board, paint is the only way to go. You can pull the panels down and paint 3 or 4 at a time.

Steve, six or seven years ago I knew a fellow in the California central valley who liked to do billboards. He said it was very profitable. He bought his paper from an Outfit called Independents in Missouri or Missippi. I got their catalog, and what I remember about it is the jargon. They used terms that were unfamiliar - sort of like us mentioning kerning to a customer.

I googled the name and could not find them. You might google outdoor advertising to see what pops up. Lamar is there. Vic G
