I enjoy interior decorating, I love reading, gardening, music, animals and especially nature. I love natural colors and try to appreciate everything around me. I am married with two kids. Hubby-Don, Daughter-Kaitlin, Son-Andrew and a dog-Tanner. We live in a very small town in Saskatchewan, Canada. Mostly wheatfields, cattle farmers and oilfield work around here.

Like many of you, I work at home - 28 years now. So making signs is a huge part of who I am. Over the years I've collected over 200 old books on sign painting and sign eye candy that I love to flip through. Played racquetball 3 times a week for 30 years and raised 2 boys with my wonderful and talented wife, Wendy.
Done my time, paid my dues, its kickin' back time. I've started carving and sculpting and drawing for pleasure and we're shopping for a retirement place (with a large shop) WAY out in the country so we can goof off making stuff we WANT to for the rest of our years. Looking forward to grandkids, too.
This Mark is with Mark and Mark - Just make me what makes you happy. That makes it special.
Sorry I'm not more vocal here, I've been lurking for a long time. That'll change.

Mark, mark, mark, mark said the dog with a hair lip! (bad joke)
OK, I enjoy camping and the outdoors. Don't have a whole lot of other interests. I spend my spare time doing and thinking about sign stuff! I really need some other interests.

Hey everyone, Really lookin' forward to participating in this mail Jam. For the One person Who recieved my name all I'm expecting is something from yer neck of the woods. Don't personalize it for me just have fun go wild. I'm no letterhead just someone who dabbles with an airbrush once in a while. So don't expect no fancy antigue sign with 3 different types of fonts. The lucky person will be recieving my first panel ever so thats says more than anything. All this e mail just makes me tired. I've already recieved the info I need thanks everyone. Lookin forward to seeing the results in January. Roger

Mark, Well that would be mighty white of you to accect a panel made by such a humble person as myself. Hope you don't mind the little kinks cause the real old man down at the sheet metal roofing shop used an old pair of tin snips to size it up fer me. I've already slapped paint on it twice and wipe it of primered it again. Third times a charm ya know. Got me some gold on there now with a whole bunch of swirly things. might go down to the to the airforce base my brother works at and borrow some stencils they mark the trucks with and slap some letters on there for ya. Expect a masterpiece bubba

As far as my interests I'm into my family, guitars and mesa boogie, motorcycles, the outdoors, good dutch oven cooking, the blues, heavy metal, music in general -rap, vintage signs, news signs, airbrushing things, pinstriping, bar glass and anything that is guaranteed to tick someone off or is not pc.
As far as what I would want out of a panel.... just go for it. What ever I get is proudly going on my studio wall for all to see. This will be my first panel, so I hope that I'm up to par. Thanks in advance and thanks for another excuse to paint something.
But really........spending time with my wife of 26 years; my three daughters; my 4 grandkids ( two boys and two girls); building furniture; vehicle striping; bluegrass music; learning the mandolin; and any thing outdoors.

Mark, It's just an expression. If you took it the wrong way I apologize. As you can see by my number of post that I'm a rapid poster.I'll admit that I found your response the first time a little patronizing. I've since reconsidered my feelings and found that maybe yes my skin was a little thin at that time. At a future date maybe we could swap panels between the two of us.I have checked out your wedsite. Listened to some fish on wheels I believe it was. pretty cool graphics.you even sound have way decent for a redneck. hehe Any tips you can give me on making one of these panels would be helpful.I've got some pretty flimsy stock right now. The point is this is the info I need. Not everyones bio. I came home and opened my mail and holy jeepers what is going on here. I never recieved that many in one day. For you that must know I live in a small farm house in western north carolina with my wife paulette, 4 cats a dog and we board three horses.I drive 30 miles to Asheville everyday and sceenprint t shirts. If I had to listen to something the Grateful Dead. drink something probably a siera nevada pale ale. If I had to eat something a big fat steak will do. Frank Zappa would have made a good president and the rebel flag can fly where ever I don't care. Hope that clears a few things up for some of you.Everyone has my E mail so feel free to drop me a line.Jokes are welcome but viruses aren't. Have a good one Roger

Diane, are you posting these bios from e-mails sent to you?
Why are people e-mailing their bios anyway!!??
All I asked was for you all to take a look at your profiles and see if there was anything you could add!
I have no idea what is happening. I actually haven't received any of these e-mails. Sorry to everyone that is getting bombarded with them! I hope nothing has been passed around as far as who is making who's panel.

I like wildlife, things tropical (I'm an escapist hehe). Big hint, my shop is decorated in a nautical theme.
I think it would be more interesting to receive a panel reflecting the personality of the person making it. That way you would have a real part of a fellow Letterhead hanging in your shop.

well I havent seen anything from my recipient so he gets what he (or she) gets! my "panel is done just waiting for the "send" from Terry.... As for me, some of you may have the wrong impression... when i met Steve and Barb they said "we thought you were some old ornery sea captain" I am none of the above....
old? I am 32, I guess its an age of perspective my nephew thinks I am old, my mother doesn't...
ornery? nope, I am very easy going, laid back and care free.
"Captain"? nope never was in the military, nor ever was the captain of a boat, plane, or any other vessel... nor am I a super hero like Captain America... the nickname came from a popular local DJ in the 80's
As far as custom making a sign to fit me? I am with ummm.... Mark I guess, something locally intriuging or unique to the person making it...
I believe my piece is at least unique, thats all I hope for.

Who ever is doing my panel doesn't have to personalize it for me, I am happy just to get the experience of doing it. I just hope whoever gets mine likes what I am doing. Considering I really can't paint well, I am relying on my other interests to make it stand out...
As far as interests go... I love trucks ! ! ! The lower the better...
I have an '87 S-10 that has been in Minitruckin Mag 4 times at different shows, and on the subscription card for a year. I have a full size (my daily driver) that I have started playing with, and by this time next year, will a full blown custom, and I will start looking for another daily driver...
I can't seem to ever catch up.

Personalizing the panel sounds great1 For whoever got Teena Wilson's name, she hasn't got a profile on this bb yet.She is BIG TIME into BIG CATS, especially tigers,(lions..anything that roars, I guess. She love to airbrush and has an appreciation for that kind of work. Other than that she's also into Hot Trucks!
As for myself..signs, new signs, old signs, replica signs, love carving, but particularly love the 'olde' stuff.I 'listen' to a lot of sci-fi movies while I work..fantasy,mostly(dragons, english folklore stuff)hope this helps.
