I am going to carve and gild the name of my small sailboat into the mohogany transom, and I can't come up with something I like. I was thinking of a different font for each word. Maybe one of the words script, and one not. The name is "Ursa Minor". Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
Bob

IMHO, a traditional style would look best (Americana, Goudy, Palatino) If you go with script, again, traditional looks best (Vivaldi, Balmoral, Zapf) and with very little arc, if any.
Don't mix the fonts, stick with one unless you're adding a hailing port (usually caps, thin roman or sans serif)

I assume you're carving into a mahogany sideboard attached to the transom - whatever you do, don't carve into the boat itself. There's my 2 cents - Good luck and post a pic when you're finished.

Mike,

The menu on the boats looks great. The food list isn't bad, either... [Wink]

Have a great one!

Bob,

Sorry I got sidetracked... Damn you, Mike! Hahahahahaha! [Wink]

Here is my take...

 -

Did you used to have a shop in Endicott over on 17C and 26?

Have a great one!

Thanks for all of the ideas. Sorry, but the menu on my boat will be limited to an $8 bottle of white merlot, some cheese and crackers, grapes and a good pastrami and cappacola sandwich. ha ha. Bruce, I like the layout a lot, it has given me some good ideas. What software did you use to lay that out??
Thanks again guys.
Bob
