Not too long ago I upgraded from 8 to 9. Corel 9 doesn't seem to have Corel Scan as an option when scanning. I tried to install corel scan from 8 into 9 but is says a .dll file is missing. Anyone done this? I liked the options Corel Scan had.

They moved things around slightly in Corel 9. At the top of the screen, go to Bitmaps / Trace Bitmapped Image. Take the time to see what they did to the Node Edit capabilities in Corel 9. They added a slider button that allows interactive node editing so you can see what Corel is doing as you move the slider bar. Once you figure it out, it is an awesome tool.

Tony, In Corel 9 and 7 scanning is done within the Twain module, and maybe this is what your system is looking for. It is usually loaded from within your scanning software, though Corel 9 maybe loading it by now. It has been used by most scanners for many years. If it is loaded, you can scan in Corel Paint under File/Acquire Source/Acquire. It will bring your scanning source up generally. The reason that they use the word source is because it also uses digital camera inputs too. Hopefully this will get you there.
