IMHO Bob G is NOT Cadlink and should be free to give his endorsement of the product in THIS forum.

Well, for what it’s worth, I don’t object. And I hope that this thread dies a quick death and we can get back to productive and informative posts.
Let’s face it, I made an “over-enthusiastic” post here that has since been moved to the suppliers soapbox. Steve called me to review the situation, ask some questions, and provide some thoughts on the matter (No Jon, I wasn’t compensated during the time on the call )
I am a guest here at Steve and Barbs meet just like everyone else. I have never asked for nor expect any special treatment for myself or anyone else for that matter. What I thought was being a helpful post (and not an advertisement or product release) was not viewed the same by our host’s. They not only have the right, but the obligation to run Letterville as they see fit in order to keep the place in order. Just as I was a recent paying guest in Mars, if asked by Jill not to do something by the library mural but move it else where, no problem.
To Steve, Barb, and the rest of Letterville, I apologize for stepping “out of bounds” with the post. For everyone that called and emailed that doesn’t think it fair, thanks but it is still on the board. Steve could have deleted it completely and no future discussion on the subject would be happening. Instead, dialog continues for those interested a little further down in Letterville on Soapbox Alley. See you there as I have more to share soon.

I still object...but what's the point if you and Steve (two individuals who I respect immensely) agree to Steve's decision.
RIP

What is there to object to? The Laws Of Letterville clearly state that the Letterhead/PinHead forum is not the place for commercial advertising. The Supplier's Soapbox is the spot for that.
Over the past few weeks, we've started to see suppliers, both Merchants, and those that should be Merchants, debating the merits of their products in this forum. Merchants are more than welcome to answer questions from signmakers, but initiating the topic and/or debates between Merchants is frowned upon in this forum.
Merchants are invited to use their rotating message text, the Supplier Soapbox and other tools, such as the monthy draws to promote themselves. Please wear your Letterhead hat when posting in this forum. Thanks for your co-operation.

Personally I think there is "Promoting your product" and "DRIVING IT DOWN YOUR THROAT" going on. I won't mention any names but I think you know who you are.
Merchants need not be like used car salesmen.
Have a great one!
