I am looking for a supplier for blank aluminum lighted signs. I have a customer who wants his edge print on the front of a sign... If you want to light Aluminum itself, you will have to wait for the 23rd century and Scotty's transparent Aluminum.
If you're in a hurry and current technology will suffice, you might try Diamond Signs at 972/554-6781, or fax them at 972/554-1732. This family owned business manufactures all types of lighted signs and letters to the trade, all to UL standards.

I've had great luck with World Wide Sign Systems in Wisconsin. 800-874-3334. You won't find junk here. Quality work and nice production time. The signs are well crated. I've never had one arrive damaged yet.
