This afternoon, I went down to the basement (aka my workshop) to letter a chest for a wedding in 2 weeks. I beat the chest up, sprayed it flat black then started lettering the name & date on it in old west style fonts. I ended up getting into one of those grooves.
With my killerkart at my side (shameless plug) and my way cool Pro Pallet in my hand (another shameless plug) I was a one-man panel jam. I started painting everything, as long as it stood still long enough. Including the basement door. It just shouldn't have stood there screaming "paint me, paint me".
Right now I'm physically exhausted, but man I'm on a high. Felt so good to have a brush in my hand.
I got the chest lettered, just gotta figger out what it's missing and add that tomorrow. Painted the door, painted & sponged a panel that would've been lettered tonight if I woulda had the strength to stand any longer, even got to just flat out practice my hand-lettering, thanks to the panel that George Perkins did for me last year at Duck Soup (Have I told you how wonderful you are lately George?)
Hmm, wonder how long it will take my husband to figure out I painted the door when he gets home.
