Howdy Heads!

I am looking for sources for large sheets of vellum or paper for doing illumination!

What other materals can you do it on besides metal and glass?....any unusual applicational media that ya'll can think of!

I am also getting ready to play with a process called verre' eglomise....any experience with this process?

Thanks in advance for the info!

This is mostly a bump up

Robert, can you elaborate on "illumination"?

This came up by googling verre' eglomise

Looks like really high end second surface gold leaf work to me. What am I missing? Vic G

Hi Robert. For the papers, try an art supply store, not the ones that cater to hobbists, but ones who sell to practicing fine or commercial artists. They stock a lot of hand-made papers including "museum quality" acid free varieties. While a lot of these are specifically for watercolors, there are some that are made for Calligraphy and Illumination. You might also do a web search for the Society of Scribes. They are really into Calligraphy and various types of fine pen lettering. Someone there may be able to give you a list of suppliers.

Hope this will be of some help to you.

Why do I get all those on-line offers to sell me Viagara, when the only thing hardening is my arteries ?
