I would like to get a head count on how many are planning to come, to be sure we have enough food.
I have been a little under the weather for the last 3 weeks, and have slipped up and allowed the business to start running me, instead of me running it. After working 16 hour days while not feeling well, I have not posted very much. I hope to do better in the future.
We have lots of door prizes lined up, and lots of good food, and a few projects.

I am coming with a soon to be pinhead! Vickie, alias Marie LaVeaux, and I are heading your way together. She is hoping someone can help her with striping.

I'm really counting on being there!!! Especially after having to miss RT & Kathy's Coupe du Main meet!! I've already bought a new set of deer whistles & am considering welding up a roo bar for the front end because this time if I run out of vehicles before I run out of deer I'm gonna hitch-hike in!!

Amy, I was not going to Coupe du Main until 6:00 Thursday evening. By 6:30 I was on the road. Am I ever glad I changed my mind(or Dora changed it). I drove her car down(12 hrs each way) and she didn't even complain too much about the pinstripes when I returned. heh heh

Chris, some the towns folk in Atlanta Illinois where the Firecracker / RT. 66 meet was held, are still laughing at your down to earth humor. One lady had tears in her eye from laughing so hard about this joke you told while she was listening in:
"I've been around for 50 years, which makes me to young for medicare and to old for women to care"
You do have a unique way of looking at life and you should try a stand up comedy routine at the Improv, casue I think you could be a star! Really!
I'm hoping this is one of the meets Steve and Bard were going to try to attend also!

RT & Mark.....I'm not in any better shape as far as dollars go but let's not let that stop us!! Went over to Don's today to help out and we... Got the semi trailer full of one-shot next to the shop, stacked all 75, 50 yrd rolls of SIGN-GOLD in the corner, Got all the free DeWalt tools sorted out, Stacked all 100 4x8 sheets of HDU (Ready for Carving), Sorted all 1,000 Mack brush's by size and style,Put all 500 rolls of HP vinyl in order of color, Orginaized all 2,000 pre-registered entry forms, odered all the prime rib and baked patato's and then after lunch we.....
Wait a minute, that was my "Ultimate Letterhead Meet Dream", Don and I mostly just did a lot of story telling,as is usual with us.
But Really, Y'all get your southern accent going and be ready for a really good "Letterhead Time", minus the "Super Dream".

I'm crossing my fingers, although it isn't looking good. 2 of our best friends are getting married on the 5th and I'm doing way too much for their wedding (they were our slave labor for our wedding)and I've got a tone of work lined up. I'm already getting behind with everything I'm trying to do for them and probaly need to spend that weekend catching up. But, I know I can get to Kentucky from here....I've done it. May just have a surprise visitor if I can get caught up. I'd really like to come see you guys. At Mars, someone told me "Don from kentucky signed (something, no idea what now)" and I went all over searching to find you only to find out it was the 'other' Don from kentucky.

Only 14 days to go. That's real close to 2 weeks.
The State came in last week, and trimmed the trees along the highway. The county came in a few days later, and repaved our road. The state returned and mowed the weeds along the highway. Now the Good Lord has given us about 3 inches of rain, and the grass is turning green.
Now, if I can just get some work caught up, and get started getting things ready here at the shop, it should work out OK.

Barb has added hotel info plus a link to mapquest on the future events page.
The map is real close, except it shows that the shop is in a corn field. It shows the shop location as approx. 0.25 miles form the highway. It is actually about 1.5 miles. If you can get to Old Hartford Road we will try to have some signs up to help you find your way.(if I can find someone to make the signs cheap enough)

Mapquest will get you to the right road, but where it shows the address is actually in a cornfield. Once you are on Old Hartford Road, just follow the signs.(if I can get someone to make me some signs. heh heh)
