I am looking to buy a 60" cutter/plotter (not printer). Does anyone has one for sale? Or any advice on what's good to buy or not?

Thank you!

Hi Pierre!

Did you hear from Louis Lafleur today?

Curious: Why 60"?

Love our suma durasign ... 60" but will actually only cut 53" ... but (after over a year) I haven't figured how to get more than 46" out of GA6 (hasn't been a problem)

Pierre,

If I was in the market for a 60" cutter, I would seriously consider an Allan Datagraph 800 series. We have two 830's in our shop and have been impressed with the machines. The 800 series included a 60" model.

You will find information on this line of cutters at the Allan Datagraph Cutter Page . Feel free to give me a call or what if you want to talk about it.

Have a great one!

Looks like there's only one 60" cutter (that actually cut 60"!) in the market and this is the Allen Datagraph 860. I think I'll go with this one, i heard nothing bad about Allen machines. And yes jon, Louis Lafleur called me back promptly but could'nt help me with what I am looking for.

Pierre:

Still curious to know why you're so insistant on 60"...are you planning on cutting 60" vinyl with it? Inkjet prints?

B-A-G (ask Doug in Hawaii what it means if you missed it previously)

OK Pierre. Curiousity is also part of my job.

My reason for asking was well intentioned...Don't want you to invest in a 60" machine -- only to discover that you won't find many local suppliers who stock anything wider than 48" webs (or many manufacturers who offer more than their top colours in a 60" web).

If the machine is indeed for a print-to-cut solution, I wish you good luck.

Jon
