I'm running Corel 9. Have Booku space on hard drive and enough ram.
I'm having trouble loading a font from the disc, when I go to the font tree the TT font is there but I noticed that when it is selected, in the view box it is not the correct font(Appearance wise) It become a default line font. After loading it it does not even appear as an avialable font. I went into the fonts folder in Windows and it is not there aswell. The font is victorian when I go to Font Catalog the font is named VictorianD. It gives me a error unable to load. Please help if you can!

Generally this means the font needs to be reinstalled. You can reinstall it by making *sure* it is not in your Fonts folder, then dragging and dropping the original back into your fonts folder.

Thanks for reply Mark, Ive done as you said but still no go. For some reason my computer is not loading that particular font and the font is not being portrayed as it truly looks. I'm trying to look for a way around it. Can I rename a font and then load it?

Ivan, if you pulled that font off the web someplace, there may be a problem with formatting. That has happened to me, but I have software that can be used to examine and (sometimes) correct formatting.
If you get totally stuck, email it to me with a note, and I will test it for you. You may not see it until tomorrow as I will be leaving here shortly.
And no, changing the name won't help anything.

I have had that problem before with certain corel fonts, usually when I get up over 700 installed things go wonky. Solution I found to work is to load the type1 version of the same font with adobe type manager. Hope it works for you...
