Shep, now that is really big news as Norm Grabrowski is more then famous in our world. I don't even think Eric Burden who called this week can top that list with me.

.... Dan, he makes both.. Once Boyd Coddington ask Norm to build him a Rocking Chair " that his wife would not be moving all the time"....Norm built one for him that weighed 700 lbs. and was perfectly balanced...you could rock in it with little or no effort..
He also hand carves some "Bitchin" gear shift knobs...
BTW his "Kookie 11" car is on loan to the Peterson Hot Rod Museum in Los Angeles..

Robert, The shop is slow going........but maybe it will be far enough along to hold a class..... maybe ........ I too am looking forward to the experience...plans are to have a "Jam" session after class Sat evening, along with some great cajun chicken sandwiches."Mountain Style " (Some pickin an grinnin) Old time mountain music...(all included in the cost of the class) and maybe some "Bench Racing" Norm and I both go back a long way in the Hot Rod movement, and we share some great experiences that we both may share with the participants. CJ will be there also...and I am sure everyone will enjoy some of his California experiences..also TimiBarrow, one of the Great Pictorial Painters still practicing his Craft will be there as well..

Bump !!!!!!!! I am leaving tomorrow for my shop.and I will be out of touch with this BB for about 2or 3 weeks.......If anyone has any questions about the upcoming class..or would like to have one of the spots that has come open..you can call me at 336 325 6589..(Leave a message if I don't answer )
If you have never met or been around Norm Grabowski...and some of the Great people that are attending this class...the price is worth that experience alone......Plus the annual "Mayberry Days" that is going on at the same time..not to mention the fact that you can learn a technique that can earn you $$$$$$$$$ Thousands of dollars..with very little investment....
With my method you don't even have to own an Air Compressor, or a large Shop..... You can Woodgrain practically anything....
Some of the things are........... Computer Cabinet and Tower.that old piece of furniture,,refrigerator, Car Dashes and Moldings ( This is in high demand among the Hot Rodders and Restorers )The items are limitled only to YOUR imagination.......
Do a search on Woodgraining and see some of the prices people are getting for this type of work !!!!! ONLY TWO SPOTS ARE AVAILABLE.
See ya there !!!! Shep'

I've got a room booked at the Surrey Inn and am really looking forward to this!! The chance to meet Norm is an unexpected bonus!!
I just talked with that red-headed fella from Monkeytown, Mark Fair yesterday & we're coordinating our travel plans so we'll both be arriving around the same time!
CJ, if you've still got a couple of those old engraving tools you offered to give away be sure to bring 'em with you! (I've already got a ball peen hammer but could use one of those engraver's blocks)
