Hey Kathy and RT, If my wife gives me the okey-dokey I'll be there with bells on. Looks like a real good time. Can we actually camp on the back lawn? I'm one cheap sob, so that'll save some bucks. Printed out the registration, will mail in early next week. Have a great day all.

Robert, Gumbo Cake? Sounds like a new recipe to me, but we can sing "Happy Birthday."
Kids welcome.
John, of course you are welcome to camp out. There is a shower in the pool house that you are welcome to also. There's one catch though, if you wake up first you have to go to the work shed and make the coffee! Looking forward to meeting you.

Mike, all kilts worn here must be purple, green, and gold. That is the official cajun tartan plaid! (Mardi Gras colors) I am curious as to why so many of us are of Scottish descent, is there Scotch in the 1-Shot formula?
Motels are listed on the Future live meet page. The friendly Inn is closest to the meet and less than $40.00 per night for a nice clean room. Reservations highly recommended as they stay fairly well booked.
See ya soon!

Hi guys, Well I just rolled in from Kathy's place and things are getting better all the time. I think we have more than enough room for everybody to have their own little space. Curtis and I helped Kathy build two long 16' easels and a number of other assorted easels and tables. Looks like we're in for a good time. Their will be plenty of room for anyone that would like to camp on site. Please see the flyer for Coupe du Main on the future meets page if you don't know what I'm talking about. Mark Fair......I forgot to answer your question as to what the shirts will look like. They will have the logo from the flyer printed on the back. Some people have asked for pocket t-shirts. Sorry guys, but we're just not gonna be able to do that. I really wanted to but it's gonna be a little cost prohibitive. They (the t-shirt companies) are proud of their pockets!! Just to keep things simple and let Kathy and I keep what hair we have on our heads, we won't have pocket t's. Ok, any of you that MIGHT be coming to the meet, BUT are NOT SURE.........tell us that you MIGHT be here so we can allow for shirts for everybody. We will have extras, but we wanna make sure everybody gets at least one. Looking forward to having the best meet South Louisiana has ever had!! See yas, R.T.

Nothing like a Letterhead Meet in the South...friendliest people on the planet! A few years ago, Pat King gave me a book titled "How to Speak Southern"...I'll have to dig it up, along with a few French words we use up here in Maine, and send it to Cisco.
Your brother from another mother,
John
PS I know, RT, your father was never in Maine

John that book sounds very interesting. Although I can speak southern style but it's from "south of the border." One thing I noticed when I was traveling thru the south in '98, was once I passed Texas, I didn't see very many Mexican people, Mississippi was a trip when I drove thru there, I told RT about it. Even Birmingham was a great experience, but thanks to P-King I felt like I was at home. I know this meet will be one of the great ones! 16 days to go and counting...

Hey! I guess I'm as ready as I'm gonna get Mike!!
Guys, we still have no guarantee from any supplier that we will have panels. If you have any panels you can bring please do. We will have some, but we want to make sure we have enough. Otherwise, there are plenty of things we can paint on at Kathy's.
Things are coming together and I can't wait to see you guys and hear the stories from Mars!!
See ya shortly, R.T.

Well like the saying goes, the check is in the mail. . . but mine really is! Booked our suite at the Colonial Inn (ok well it's a room. . I don't think they have suites) but we are all set to go. We'll be coming on friday and saturday.
I can't wait to meet all the sign heros that will be there, it's like going to the oscars or something, maybe yall ought to put a red carpet out so the guests can walk out of the limos and stuff.
Gonna be fun, looking forward to finally meeting all of you.

Orale, Cisco. The gator tacos will have to be fresh, so we are waiting for you to arrive to start the hunt. What's your preference? Do you want to flush the gator out of his hole with the stick or do you want to wade in the water and hit him in the head with the hammer?
posted
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH That's funny. I say we flush em out, then hit em with a long handle big hammer. You go first and I'll be behind you with the hammer. Wear something red, because that's how we catch frogs over here. So it's sort of the same thing, que no?
