Long Time no Hear or see, I sold my Business, Signs1st back in Feb of 24, seems I'm going full circle, at 65 I was fortunate to have someone want to buy my business, I'm still here until Feb then its back to my roots Hand Lettering Airbrush and striping. I do check in every now and then, but seems things have really slowed down here, Good Luck everyone.

Hi Neil,
I’m happy for you. Selling a sign business is difficult. So my consideration.
SignCraft Magazine is currently asking for input from folks like you.

So how does it work, that you sell a business without a no compete clause?

I was fortunate to have a long time customer approach me in May last year. They are heavily into Audio Visual and security and solar film. I also by design called my Business Signs1st. So that it would be a little more attractive to someone else. Instead of my Name. I tired 65 in January and really wasn’t ready to give it up. I had 4 employees and unfortunately my main guy, designer and operator of both my Roland and HP flatbed printer, got sick really fast and passed in less than 2 months, he was with me for almost 25 years. It took the wind out of me, he was only 51. So it made the decision a little easier, and getting him replaced took some work.
