Like many others, as I've aged, my eyesight isn't what it used to be. Last week I went for an examination for new eyeglasses. Last pair were bifocals, which I found difficult to adjust to, and was never really comfortable with them. This time around I'm considering getting a 2nd pair, strictly for reading or working on the computer. The other pair would be for normal, everyday use (long vision) if that's the correct designation ?
My question is what your experience and recommendation might be ? I feel that my eyesight never really denigrated, until I began using the computer with more frequency.
Probably another reason why I regret not sticking to a more traditional practice in sign making, but the economic realities forced me to adopt the computer influence on our trade.

Hey Don thanks for your reply. I'll seriously consider your advise,, since it sounds practical. The only thing positive I've found from this is that the "squint test" has become a very natural situation.

I have a dedicated pair of prescription glasses for close work and reading, and a separate pair for distance with a minor correction.
When I had my eye exam, the optometrist asked me specifically where I do my close-up work (how far from eyes is my work), then she had the glasses made to match that distance.
The best glasses I have had yet.
Peace, Bob
