Been a while since I used HDU and I have a few to blast. Can't remember if I should prime or do any surface prep before laying the rubber on? I remember washing the stuff and blowing it dry. I just don't want the adhesive failing while blasting. I'll start posting notes about all the things I've forgotten as I age.

a good washing with the water hose is always a good idea before applying any kind of coating. Looking forward to hearing more about your projects.

I would not prime. It will peel of the primer and create an uneven surface after peeling the mask. Sandblasting creates heat, this in turn will soften the adhesive allowing it to bond with the primer. When we buy Hartco Sandblast, there is a note stating not to prime
