Paint is bogus now !!
What is left that is still really good ?
One shot has changed ( years ago ).
Is Ronan the best ?
Should I just use paint mask and rust oleum now ?
There used to be
One Shot
Chromatic
Ronan
Deka
And maybe others .
Is rust oleum the new bulletin enamel ?
It’s not bad as long as it’s not humid when it is drying .

Huh. Sounds like you not aware of the different choices available.
"Paint is bogus now !!" is your Quote.

Here is my Question to you...

Are you looking for New Ideas and Sales,
or are you asking how to make Money in
The Sign Business ?
As far as i'm concerned, we utilize what is
available. Our Job is to make Money for our
Client's. It is our Job to Promote their Company.
Me personally, I would rather see a Vinyl Sign, or
Digital Print that has correct Spacing, Color and Design over a Hand Painted Sign with no Character

My question was :
What is a good brand of paint ?
I design and make things by hand and with the computer .
Sometimes paint is called for .
Most people that have taken the time to learn how to paint
Also like to make sure it looks good .
More people make bad signs with vinyl than with paint imo
Because now anyone can buy a plotter for a few hundred bucks and use a program to type in letters etc .

I do have ideas and know how to make money in the sign biz .
Was wondering what brand of paint people like now .
They have changed .
Maybe Ronan is the quality paint now ?
I had good results with it a couple years back .
One shot was great a long time ago ,
Chromatic was good.
Their recipes changed a while back and quality sufferered.
One shot never used to gel up-
Haven’t tried it since it did that a few years ago .

I've found Ronan Lettering Enamel to be the best in that category. The problem is finding it. I had to order direct from Ronan to get their lettering enamel. Everyone carries their bulletin enamel. One Shot is using cheap Chinese pigments. I've been migrating to mostly latex. My favorite is Acri Shield by Porter. Gary Anderson put me on to it. It flows off of latex quills almost like the One Shot from decades ago.

Thanks Dave !
I ordered Ronan from New York last time !
Is the Acri- shield generally available ?
Do you think two coats of it would last maybe 7-10 years
Outside ?

Dave...It was nice to see you give a sensible answer to Shon's question instead of questioning his abilities. Kudos to you.

How are things going in TX? Missing the winter weather of Michigan UP??? LOL
