I've always avoided electric sign work. I'm no electrician. I'm making a 26" diameter acrylic sign with a logo printed on it for an interior wall. My customer wants to know if I can put LED light strips on the back so it is halo lit. I can make it stand off the wall on spacers. I have seen this type of thing, but don't usually pay much attention. I would have an electrician hook it up. Can this be easily done by attaching the lights to the back of the opaque acrylic? I really hope to talk him out of it, but would like to know a little about it.

My buddy just did that using a little kit from Home Depot. It can be set to change colors too. Maybe $25
