My new puter has a serial port, which means I may connect it to my summa D50 Cutter. My Corel 18 do export files as .plt.
How do I download, install and use any program that allows me to cut from Corel, the program I use on the XP puter , SummaCut, is not possible to install in Win 10.

I have CorelDraw X4. It's good enough for me. I cut from an old FlexiSign program. FlexiSign Pro 8.1 I have a Summa plotter. You might be able to download it from online somewhere on the Web. I have heard some say you can cut directly from CorelDraw, but I don't know about the new Online CorelDraw programs. I just have the old stuff, Windows 7, no internet connection.

I started with Corel 7 and win 95, had no problems. "Upgraded" into it. Should have kept it and used another puter for net. Ill check for FlexiSign, wonder if it will install in Win10 ?

Stein if you have HPLP drivers for your Summa and windows 10 you should be able to cut directly form Corel by selecting your plotter as a printer, you will not have a preview link some other programs.
You could also look at Cadlink you may be able to get credit towards purchase for Corel license.

Makes me wonder why CorelDraw doesn't already have a tool installed in their program for plotters. It's just as common as a printer.

Thanks Brian. If I select it as printer, I will probably need to connect it via the printer port ? My Summa is only possible to connect from serial port to serial.

My Corel X3 included a program called CoCut. I do not use it because I never cut from Corel, but I did try it. As I remember it seemed to work very well, just different. You might check with Corel and see if it is still available.

I have that too. It's in my Program Closet next to my skis and Croquet Set. Yep, it's there in the Summa Folder.

Stein Cadlink is a standalone program you can use to design also. As long as you get a version since Windows 10 was released yes. As far as the other one I would think if they are 64 bit they should work may have to run as legacy program.

Went to Summa.be page, found a contact form, asked how to transfer files from win 10, Corel x7 to my summa D520. They send me a link to a PDF explaining in detail various metodes, including offering a link to a WinPlot version that can cut directly from Corel.
I´ll study it a bit more and then I´ll try it out, maybe all my troubles are gone

Problems solved, cutter works like when it was new 22 years ago !
It was not Corel writing lousy .plt files, not the USB stick malfunctioning, neither the 22 year old puter I use to run the cutter either, nor the 25 year old Summacut program or the cutters mainboard.
Two small drops of oil on the cutterheads knifeholders bearings was all it take to make a worryfree signer,
