Why has the BB petered out? Has it caught the virus?
Or is it that people are really practicing extreme social distancing?

Signwork has been so slow and so ordinary there is little to comment on of interest.

I still check in daily too, but I don't post a lot, and I don't reply a lot unless I think I can actually help someone.

Dennis, how are things down there in SF? Does anything seem normal? My only excursions to the city in recent years have been to the airport. Even doctor visits get done via zoom.
We live in an area where fishing and logging have been the major industry for generations and both have died down to a far smaller scale. Consequently tourism has been the main staple for money coming into this area. With Covid 19, tourism stopped, so many, many business closed, and signwork for them ceased. We have an influx of new dope stores that make home deliveries as if you were ordering pizza. Other than that, things here are slow.

I'm guilty of not stopping in for a while. Lost my password and just found it. Such a wealth of knowledge here. A young woman stopped recently and wanted to see what I use for sign software and equipment. She and her dad have done some vinyl signs and she is considering doing more. I told her about this website and how helpful everyone is. I hope she joins.

The group here still feels like family, but we need to hear from Barb Shortreed more.

I check in every couple of weeks. We are semi retired, business is slow. I have kept about 1 dozen of my regular customers, only take on something new if the project is interesting. About 7 years ago, a kayak manufacturer asked us to CNC route some parts for him. He places 4 decent sized orders a year, and is quick to pay! We have so many hobbies, interests that keep us busy. Ernie said he doesn’t know how he had time for his regular job, which he retired from 9 years ago.
I do miss the gang. I miss the Letterhead meets, learned so much at them.

Diane

This site is also part of social media, but Barb and Steve's site does not consume your juice like the big tech companies. Everyone has Link juice, but should set it up to their own advantage.

I'll be discussing this in the future and how to set up your web infrastructure. We'll be reversing this trend using education as a traffic driving force, for the benefit multiple signage boards soon.

To begin, post half of your story on whatever social media site you wish with a link to the second half of the story posted here, help drive life back into the board. Likewise do this for your website.

more soon Good Luck

Good thinking, Ron - but wasn't much of the content here somewhat private unless readers joined?
