Gee, where did every body go? I hear echoes of my voice as I am speaking in the town of Letterville.

Bidding jobs like crazy. Getting about 50% of the bids. There is a lot of construction going on right now.Trying to boost my income as much as possible to get more from social security when I retire. There's rumors of another slow down coming in 6 months in new building projects. I still visit Letterville several times a week.

Don't get on here much- but I still love and miss you all- You are great, talented people! Im still printing tees, cartooning and photography stuff, working in my studio- I found myself back at college this year, finishing up a degree I walked away from 25 years ago. I had had several missed opportunities for good paying creative jobs because of not having that piece of paper- on track to get it Dec.

Kayaking...landscape painting...gardening...loving and enjoying retirement...and why not enjoy life...I'm closer to dying every day...even though I'm currently out of business...I've kept my equipment...just in case I'm asked to do something worth while in the future and need to get my "sign fix" on again...I will always admire those in the sign profession...or related work...that are serious and dedicated to giving their best

I still check in from time to time but Letterville sure isn't as busy as the old days.
We continue to keep as busy as ever in our shop. Peter and Hailey (son and daughter-in-law) now officially own the business. I have no plans to retire for I enjoy it far too much. We have lots of wonderfully imaginative projects on the go that stretch from Nebraska, to Manitoba and here in BC.
We are keeping busy with theme park projects for the most part although we do some dimensional signs for conventional businesses from time to time.
We still enjoy hosting workshops once or twice each year (next two start in two weeks) and have welcomed folks from around the world.
I've taken up biking but do it with two fun e-bikes. I can go fast and get great exercise but not have to work as extremely hard as it might normally be if I did all the effort. There are so many great trails close to our house. I've managed to go about 1900 kilometres (1200 miles) since spring and get out a few times each week.
Life is very good!

I am alive and well hunkered in the bunker...
I pretty much do commercial sign design for several large sign companies in the Midwest. I pretty much only letter at charity meets although I have about doing small scale stuff.
The problem is that I make some really good money doing design. I work with some really great people and that counts for a lot.
I am still Go Karting with the Shriners. I am active in my Masonic Lodge and am planning on taking my fourth trip through the chairs (A severe glutton for punishment). Still golfing and am a league bowler once again.
Yes, I still have Lukas (wit a k)...

I'm baaack! All moved in to my new home in Texas. I was without internet for a while, finally got WiFi hooked up, couldn't find my WiFi adapter. The garage is filled top to bottom with shop stuff so started looking through boxes when I finally remembered, I was hooked up to the internet with an Ethernet cable. Doh! WiFi router is in living room, computer is in spare bedroom. So bought a USB WiFi adapter and I'm back with higher speeds than I could get in Michigan.
So now it's time to start designing my shop. I need to lay it out so that it is big enough for a semi retirement shop, but small enough to not cost an arm and a leg. I'm already getting sign jobs from people seeing my truck. Luckily building season is nearly year round here in Texas.
PS, I finally got around to sending some sign pics to SignCraft Magazine and one I made and designed by Bruce Bowers made it into the signs we've seen category.
(Sorry for the shameless plug)

Which one was that? Someone from Signcraft posted one we did about 6 years ago ,in the same category, in the last issue. It was for Val’s sporting goods. Funny thing, the place is now out of business.
