Just finished up cutting out the first project on the foamcutting machine. I decided to cut the top cover (don't know what it's called) in two parts to make it easier fit snug and just join it with a keystone. Next will be the hardcoating, finishing, and making the dimensional graphics on the router. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDEE6vXHaTg

Even though watching a hot wire cutter is only slightly more exciting than watching paint dry, that is still very cool that you can do it yourself let alone having built it yourself. Great job Wayne. I hope you get lots of work for it.

Thanks guys. Rusty, this was the first piece cut from the block. I had to get two holes in the thing for sliding over the mounting posts. Wasn't sure the best way to do this because the wire has to get in there somehow, so I designed a little path from the corner, thinking it wouldn't have as much chance of showing after filling.
But I wasn't happy with the plain, square ends and it wasn't too late to change so I went back and cut a radius on those. I redesigned the other parts to have the radius too. I like it much better now.
Then I turned the top roof/cover thingy on it's side, cut radii on the ends, flipped it up 90° and cut the profile. Before doing that, I also re-designed the end "shelves" to have a 1 on 12 pitch so they could shed at least some water to prevent mildew.
