I read on here that Signs 365 was a great service so I thought I would try it. I designed a logo for a body shop and it is going on a lighted sign. Signs 365 said I needed registration marks, and a cut line file, which I created, the problem is that it doesn't show up when I upload it to there web site. The crop marks show but not the cut line. They told me to try a different program since it was created in Sign Lab. So I tried Corel Draw & Photoshop I even tried different colors. Same scenario crop marks but no cut line. So does anyone have a solution? What can I try next?

I've always had to send a separate file in .eps. Within the system, it has a spot that you click that then allows you to upload the separate file. There support has always been excellent. Worked through many odd jobs

They want a 1 pixel stroke on cutlines. I finally got the hang of it.

One point? Don't think you can make a cut line without vectors.

I use Digital Print Solutions and include a cut line at 1 point stroke width and line color magenta. Then I just put in the special instructions box contour cut line is magenta. I've had noting but perfect cuts from them every time.

I make the contour cut with registration circles as a vector and convert it to an eps and send that.

Rob - you need to create your cut line in a vector program - Corel Draw should work for that. Open a new file in Corel, place your image, then create your cut lines and include the 1/4" black circles as reference points - follow Signs 365 cut file instructions. Save your cut file as a high res. .pdf or .eps file.
I have used Signs 365 contour cutting on several jobs, and they do a real good job. I had one project where the cut lines were a little off, but I think I may have accidentally shifted my image file by one stroke of a key, but the graphics still worked for my job. Signs 365 tech support is good, they should be able to walk you through it. It's a little pricey to have images contour cut, but worth the time it saves and looks so professional.
