Cause he surely hit the nail on the head! I think that's why so many of us here, have achieved some measureable degree of success.......because we put our hearts in our craft.

assisi.......was at the center of a lot of the art of italy. giotto painted the church there.he is famous for this: the Pope sent a messenger to Giotto, asking him to send a drawing to demonstrate his skill, Giotto drew, in red paint, a circle so perfect that it seemed as though it was drawn using a compass and instructed the messenger to give that to the Pope.

How did the Pope know that he didnt use a compass? I cd rig up a compass that drew in paint and left no center mark.
Actually, I think Hermann Zapf was supposed to have the ability to draw a perfect circle in chalk.
