My old Windows98 finally gave up the ghost. It had an old version of Flexisign on it which I used to cut vinyl on my CX-24. I have now replaced that with a WindowsXP I had but lost the key to the Flexi so that is pretty much gone too. I installed CorelDraw X4 and the driver for the CX-24 on the XP. After much trial and error I've figured out how to cut from CorelDraw but I it seems I can only cut within the paper size/output of the cutter which is approx. 23"x72". How and where can I set it to cut longer? I've gone into the cutter's properties then to the advanced options and see the paper size but it won't let me change it.

I used to cut beyond 100" from CorelDraw to my cx-24 Roland, and the setup is pretty easy. Unfortunately, it's been 7 years since I retired and I no longer have the cutter so I can't give you the details.
Hopefully OP will chime in and offer the solution.
It can be easily done, but you have to realise that with a friction feed cutter, you will get some drift on long cuts.
(edited to add)
If I remember correctly, you set up your CorelDraw page to the width you need, like 110", for example...Then you need to go into the "print setup" page for the Roland cutter and match that size to be the same. (Wish I were at home in Canada, I have an old XP machine there that still has the Roland driver installed on it.)

Thanks for getting back with me, Dave. When I was cutting from Flexi it allowed me to cut long lengths, nothing terribly long because I learned my lesson on the drifting but I just made a pattern that was 120" before that computer with Flexi on it died. I had a cut job that I was trying to get on piece of vinyl 72" long but it stopped short at about 63" because that is actually what the parameters of the page is, ~23" x`63" 9584mm x 1600mm) from the new set-up.

It helps to read the instructions! Problem solved. Instead of changing the paper size I needed to change the media size in the advanced options.

Glad you got it resolved Kevin...I knew it was possible and fairly easy to do. It is just hard to recall the setting after a few years.

Here is a solution for media drifting on a friction feed plotter that works for me. I used to unclamp both sides of the vinyl and try to reset the roll using the alignment lines on the plotter. (Roland) Sometimes I would reset that dang thing 5 times and still not get it to run straight.
One day I thought of this and it works like a charm. So I set my roll and do a test ("show me" on my old Flexi program). Usually, while facing the machine, the vinyl drifts to the left. I unclamp the right side and pull it forward about an eighth of an inch for small amount of drift to just under a quarter inch for larger drift. If your vinyl drifts to the right do the opposite side or pull the vinyl back toward the roll on the right side. When you do the next "show me" you'll be amazed at how straight it runs.
Since I started using this method I've had vinyl run so straight that I can make even 8' cuts easily or 5 or more smaller cuts in the 4 to 5 foot range without resetting the vinyl.
