We are considering buying a Roland Camm Versa SP 300i. Any comments from users- good or bad- would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

not to change your mind rolands are good......but look at the LATEX PRINTER... if you dont run the rolands continuously they say you have problems with them the latex printers use closer to inkjet inks....so i hear arent as prone to plug ups.. but do require 220V for the heaters...

we have sold a lot of rolands and they've been very good, many are 10 years old plus, wouldn't take a latex printer on a bet, heard way to many horror stories

We have had our Rolands (we're are on #2) for a LONG time and have been VERY pleased with how they operate, print and a good value for the buck. I would highly reccommend them!

Our sp300v is 7/8 years old and has done a great job. It's needing a few maintenance items, but it just keeps on ticking.
I do often wish we had gotten the 54" to print larger banners. Can still do larger banners with cut vinyl, and print graphics to apply if needed.
Usually do a manual cleaning about once a week. Never had any problems with nozzles clogging from not being used. As long as you leave it plugged in, it will clean itself every so often.

Diane, We have had our SP-300 since 2005 and it has been a workhorse for us. It will need repairs as any mechanical equipment does over time, but it has been running just about everyday for us. I also regret not buying the 54" version but space is a factor as well as money. Hopefully your Roland dealer also provides service. It would be quite expensive to have to ship it to their factory in California for repairs! I looked at several printers before getting the Roland and I made the right decision. Good Luck!
Sign-cerely, Steve

Much like most of these, I have had no major problems with my SP-300. I don't do a thorough cleaning often enough, but it doesn't keep itself unclogged as long as it is plugged in. I have never had banding issues even when a ink cartridge runs out in the middle of a print. I also wish I had bought a 54" machine and will as soon as the economy changes and I can afford to.
