Just got back from installing 3 signs down in L.A....that stands for "Lower Alabama" in our neck of the woods...had to stop...go back and take this pic...what a great advertising idea.

That's inventiveness, at its finest, Rusty.
It's kinda like a billboard I saw one time, where it was advertising for a termite control company, and the billboard had most of it eaten (cut) away, except for the name of the company and phone #.

Maybe mounting the sign on posts would keep the sign from falling down with the barn, also it is hiding a good part of the barn falling apart. Really a great idea, and a nice job.

Diane...YellaWood is definitely hugh down South...even the product name has a Southern ring to it as evidenced by the clever phonetic spelling of the word "yellow"...come to think of it I believe Joe spells "yellow" that way too.

Yep...YellaWood is pretty well respected around the south. I don't know how is compares, cost-wise from regular treated lumber; but since our illustrious gov'mint took all the chemicals that were so bad for us, out of treated lumber, it's not much good anymore.
Notice that we also have color-coded lumber now. It's hot pink, bright blue, etc...supposedly to be used for different purposes. Some of it's even supposed to be fire retardant! I just hope it works better for that, than the new treated lumber does for outside use.
