Yes, Kelly...THANK YOU for posting. This whole event started out as a whim to show the Sign Painters movie on a Saturday night. Add a couple afternoon demos...and POOF, it seems to have turned into a 3 day affair! Crazy and fun and so exciting! And majorly mind blowing. So here we are, just about 4 weeks away and we have Noel Weber & Bill Riedel teaching a 2 day gold leaf on glass workshop, Tony Segale is teaching a brush lettering workshop, WB Gold Leaf has donated gold for the event and we are working on convincing Urban J to come show us how his company makes gold leaf. Mack Brushes are sending some raffle prizes and 1Shot is throwing some paint our way. We have housing for the first 30 people set up and motels being coordinated for everyone else to reserve their stay.Clients of mine have donated lunch for up to 50 people for Friday, the 10th, and we are working on dinner for you all for Friday night, and we have continental breakfasts for the 10th & 11th. Did I mention this is a fund raiser for our local Arts Alliance. We figure, if you paint pretty things for us to auction on Saturday night, we should house and feed you. It's only right, right? We are working hard to set up a simple web site for advance tickets purchases for the movie and t-shirt ordering and general info and FAQ's. I HAVE ONE QUESTION...ok...2 QUESTIONS... 1. Who can tell me what I can use to cover the beautiful hardwood floors where the meet will be held...and not leave a sticky residue on the floor? And 2....Can you come? ...30 other people are, so far. Love to have you. Camping 3 blocks from the meet. Hotels 1 to 5 blocks from the meet. Sacramento airport 1 and a half hours away. Oakland-2 and a half hrs. And SF, 3 hours.

Wish I could be there! Too many prior commitments for me to get away. I worked out in Sonora, several years ago, and it's a beautiful and fascinating area. Someday, I'll get back, so I can spend some more time there.

Damn, damn, damn......I would love to be there.... But no can do! I am just back from the UK meet...
Note to self: Never ship glass panels!!! They arrived shattered, but glittery with the gold we put on them in Dave Smith's gold class.!!! Such is life!
Have a wonderful time everybody...and of course please post lots of photos for us that cannot make it. Thanks Judy. I'll be watching for the next one.

Went up to Sonora yesterday for the friday session. This is one of the best organised events I've ever been to! The easels were nicer than I work with in my shop. I saw Mike Clines, Tony Segale, Mike Languine, Howard Zeller, Gary Berg,aaannnnd...Alicia (alias Mud Flap Girl). World class candy panels to play with and lots of paint. WHat a trip. Wish I could afford to stay the whole weekend.

I'd love to be there and see friends, but instead I get to fly across the states to play on the beaches with my grandsons! The choice is a no brainer for me. Hope a grand time is enjoyed by all.
