Today marks fifty-one years that my beautiful bride and I have been married. We dated almost three years in high school, so the majority of our lives have been spent together...and I would not go back and change a minute of it.
My mother commented that I should get to know that cute new girl at church, but I had already thought of that long before her suggestion.
She still calls me her King and she is still my Princess and each evening I go home to our castle. There is great comfort in knowing that when I walk through the door I will find peace, love, and grace...no matter how much I've messed up that day.
Kermit says, "It's not easy being green", and it's not easy being married to a dreamer but Jeanne has managed it all these years. I am blessed.

Thanks guys for all your remarks. We plan the celebrate this weekend since we have both been very busy all week.
Jeanne keeps saying that our life together has been an "Adventure" and she says it with a smile. It takes a very special kind of woman to say that when you know all that she has had to endure.

Congrats Raymond and to your wife. It's evident from your words that you are at a place in your life that is, and has been quite rewarding...and that's a special feeling. We'll be at our 43rd this December.

Sophie would probably describe our marriage as an "adventure" as well. She and I have only been married 41 years, 11 months and a day... but who's counting?
