They tell me that Old Is Good!! So here goes:
I am running my old Gerber Dimension 200-X Router after about a 14 year absense due to my other business, so now I am retired and am back doing small specialty routered signs to keep busy and also make a bit of cash. I also just happen to have a Gerber 4-B Cutter that is like brand new, and I would like to hook that up to my computer I am using with my router now, so I can pounce patterns.
I am wondering if in fact there is a way that I can use this 4-B with my computer that I am running my router with now, or is it not compatable, or even feasable.
If not then i will look for a good used HS15 Plus plotter to do my pounce patterns with, providing I can find one cheap enough and in decent shape. Thanks in advance for any advice. Leo

I know that I purchase an attachment that deprograms the gerber commands at the keyboard (think LMK) link module kit) and that will run the 4b from the computer commands. I have omega still and that is the upgrade from the first program which I sold.
I still have my gerber 4b and I bought one from Jimmy Chatham when my belt rubber piece went out. His had the same problem; I fixed mine but will probably fix that one also later.
It is good for pounce patterns definitely and works without the computer if necessary. I find that priceless. I hope you are enjoying yourself and I think I will buy a router one of these days also.
