Friday was a rather big day. It started like any other… I just went to work, and then came home again.
But what made today different was, I gave notice. I just signed and striped my last truck. Out of fire trucks alone, this was #500. And that's just for one client.
I can’t even tell you what this means. I’m freaked out! But excited.
Bottom line is, my son is in his teens and I just feel a need to hover around home more vs less. Working 2 jobs for the last 6 years… I’m over it.
I feel so fortunate this little junk hobby of mine just kinda took over my life for all the right reasons, and it’s what makes me tick today.
And I have one message for old firetruck crates all over the land...
In my world, they are just as special as a fire truck.

Super Donna - You'll see, you'll be alright. I hit "the wall" 7 years ago, quit my full time job and freaked out a little, but I had confidence in my skills and ability. I have been gaining steam ever since - this year has been my busiest, and most profitable yet. I love working for myself, and you will too, you will succeed!

I am right with you on your decision...that is, I relate, as I took a major break from many things for the children, and I am so thankful too! They are showing the results in happy and productive lives when I had to be Mom and Dad through all these years!
And the trucks will be there later if you ever choose to go back, but the kids won't.
(Remember the cat and the cradle song?)
