Help! Whenever I am watching some video link or You Tube segment I keep getting all kinds of audio ads that don't seem to have a link anywhere that I can turn off.
It's extremely annoying and I'm about ready to kick a hole in the monitor.
Any advice?

I had something similiar. Go into tools on your search engine and you should find an option for extensions. Then it will probably list some form of adware. It will give you a choice to disable it. You can find information by googling and I am sure there are those here that can explaine this better than I have. Hope this helps.

you have been hit with a RE-DIRECT MALWARE.... depending on the site you orignally intended to go to, this crap sends you to other web sites.some with audio some without.......but it does it at an alarming rate from to the next....can open 5-10 windows/apps before it stops....your virus program shoulda caught it, but there are free programs like SEARCH N DESTROY MALWAREBYTES

Go to your settings during those ads. Click on sound and mute the channel that is playing. This will work until you root it out of the system. Worked for me

I hesitate to say this, but I'm gonna anyway because it's been a thorn in my side lately as well.
Cody prefers Windows, so I allowed him to have it installed on his computer ( my old mac ).
It was doing that too, and what OP said as well. I eventually yanked the cord and told him to stay on the mac side or don't turn the thing on at all. OVER IT! Let's kick together, Raymond.
It's like if you click on one bad thing, you're hooped.
WHY does Windows 7 make everything so hard?! I just don't get it!
Windows 7 is hard, Raymond. XP was much more user friendly and cooperated. But the dark side cooperates even more. I'm really happy being a dummy and just blog...
