Anyone have a 3M Comply cv3 decal laminated with 8518 produce bubbles? Like the size of a quarter or larger? Decal is on a plastic gas tank. Customer popped the bubbles and said a yellow sticky substance is coming out. ??????

I was wondering if it was a LEP issue, but have done tanks and body panels in the past with no issues. I really don't want to order a whole roll of vinyl for a $100 job.

gas tanks out gas big time. Decals that go on plastic motorcycles usually have all kinds of holes or slits in them in order for the gases to escape.

Nikki, I would contact your vinyl supplier and see if they will send you a sample of vinyl for LEP and see if that makes a difference. How long did it take for the adhesive on the decal you installed turn to goo?

Thanks Bruce! He had come in with another one that had a bunch of holes in it and it was trashed too. All gummy etc. Glenn, it was about 3 weeks. I will let him know! Much appreciated. Bruce, what else would you recommend?
