I've been away for a few days and wanted y'all to know why...if you might be interested.
Early Monday morning I had another heart attack and have been in the hospital until yesterday afternoon. It was a mild one and they put another stent in my heart - this is #5 and the procedure went well.
Today, I'm back in the studio and trying to catch up on stuff that was missed over the past few days.
Hope you have a great weekend.

Hope u do well w/new stent Ray. We all know u have a good heart of gold, maybe just bad plumbing. Can the letterville health clinic give some advice? I know Hawthorne berries,L-Carnitine,Co-Q10,Grill Oil,+ other suplements & foods can really help, along w/your reg.Heart meds.

I have to agree with Old Paint!!!! Slow down my friend!
5 stents? Do you really have room for a couple more!
Remember ... doesn't matter if you get that job done ... or not ... the Sun will still come up tomorrow morning!
While I am still up on my soap box ... get rid of butter and corn oil in your diet! Use canola for frying and pure olive for cooking , and virgin olive oil for salads and toppings ... your heart will thank you!

You body has been sending you clear messages Raymond. Please listen and act. Hope you heal well, and consider making some healthier lifestyle tweaks. Even the smallest of changes work!
Ask my partner Joe. He came home with a pre-diabeties diagnosis last Sept. Since then he's dropped 35 pounds, by tweaking his diet. His sugar levels are back to normal, cholesterol down and a big plus ... he's completely off blood pressure meds. His joints don't ache like they did so he's not taking pain meds anymore either.
hugs dear friend and take good care, ~ nettie

God Bless ya, brother! You follow the good advice from some of those above, and take it easy for awhile. I too have had to learn to work at my own pace, and not at one dictated by others' demands.
Do you walk? That alone does wonders.Half an hour or so, every other day, helps the old ticker, and may help you get rid of a few unwanted pounds.

Thanks to all for the very nice words. There was little damage done and I'm feeling fine. Stress is not my main problem - it's cheeseburgers. I'm slowing down some (and eating better) and don't take on the workload that I once had. No more digging holes and very limited installations that require ladders. Now, if I can just get rid of hammer drills life would be much easier.
These days I spend a lot of time with recovering alcohol and drug addicts as an encourager and spiritual advisor. A lot of the passion I had for signs and such has been replaced with other endeavors.
Without getting into the "off limits" area on this forum I want you all to know that I appreciate your concerns and well wishes for me. But, death is not terminal for me. I was never built for this world - this place is not my home.

good.......as for you "feeling fine" i felt that way, 15 minutes before i died)))))))) so let the "feeling good" fool ya.... seems you and i have a lot more in common then we have differences. grew up in a bar, with dysfunctional parents(physical and mental abuse from them) wound up in drug/alcohol rehab 1975......was involved with the startup of NA, as it didnt exist and all that was was AA. i say i got over 30 years in AA(didnt attending meeting all that time)..lived in PEN-NSYLVANIA, and when i went to rehab i was on my way to the state PEN, and 8 month later i was attending PENN STATE.......... while attending penn state i worked at the rehab place as a counselor, and have sponsored people over the years.....in AA & NA. and i dont care if its off forum...but after waking up from being dead and in a coma for 6 day and waking up on EASTER SUNDAY....... god is real.........i can say that with authority)))) and like i said..... GO SLOW, AND EASY.........YOUR WORK IS NOT DONE.......you might be just...... getting started)))))))
