Darn global warming. It's like the 1970's all over again. Got 2" of wet snow yesterday followed by freezing rain. Now the shop parking lot is covered with an 1" of ice. More snow coming this afternoon. Main roads are clear but the secondary roads are dangerous. Staying closed today. Gonna hit 71f next week.

We had 2" of snow here, last Tues-Weds, preceded by a day or so of rain. Coupled with 2 days of 'teens-lows and mid-20's highs, everything was ICE. The highways, streets, schools, and most businesses were shut down.
We have little in the way of any kind of snow removal around here; and there were lines of vehicles, a mile or more long, on Hwy 49.....stopped behind semi's that couldn't get going, on nearly level roadways.
Up north, this would've been barely a hiccup; but we haven't had a "snap" like this since the early 90's, so we're just not geared for it. I guess all the towing services did a tremendous volume.

A trucker in today mentioned a construction friend of his reported 4' of frost this year. That's a bug killer. Kill those friggin' bugs ... I say.
You should be wishin' for deep frost down there, Tim ... you know ... to kill some of that Kudzu!
