The Signpainters Movie will be shown this weekend on the 15th of Dec. at the Princess Theatre in Waterloo. I would love to see a lot of the old time painters there. It is a great show if you get a chance to come bring some Letterhead photos with you! We will try and get together after!

Ya will certainly enjoy the this well done movie of the year ( last 2 decades ) really should say.

Best movies are done with real people, doing real things, in real time without un-real effects that have gummed up movies of now days, like you will not see a flying & jumping sign painter painting a monster sign in 3 minutes flat with perfection while fighting off vinyl cutters & printers.

What you will see, laugh, cry, wonder & amaze by it all & be inspired to pick up a brush & make another collectors piece.

Hope there is a great turn out & ya all enjoy

I'm a little worried about the spacing between the Y and the T in Faythe. Was wondering why Fay was called The Levine

Doug, Is this a movie that is limited to those who live near that Kitchener/Waterloo movie theatre only? Or is it something that could be watched by folks who live many miles away via internet??

I saw the movie a while back in Canada. On the way BACK into USA, my truck was thouroly searched by the border guys. They thought it funny that I drove 100 miles just to see a movie. ( That was my anwser of why I had went to Canada, I told them I went there to see a movie) I was only in Canada for about four or five hours. There I was sitting on the "Group W" bench along with some other people. But it is a good movie!!

I've been on the "Group W" bench a few times.

The most recent was this summer, as Sophie and I flew back from Boston. I was wearing a Ribz vest, which is a front pack for backpacking somewhat similar to a fishing vest. It was stuffed to the gills and I guess some TSA guy thought it looked too much like a suicide vest. Thereupon, I received plenty of special attention from people paid not to have a sense of humor--the vest was thoroughly searched and swabbed, my hands were swabbed, everything I had was swabbed, I was patted down and all my gear was X-rayed twice.

I guess it's a good thing I didn't tell them I flew to Boston to see a movie...

What the heck is the "Group W" area?

We fly all over the place and drive all over the place...Never encountered a "Group W" bench.

We DID encounter THE worst ever, ignorant, obnoxious border control agent in Canada, at the BC border and we are Canadian. He was a total ***hole.

Why do governments hire, basically, uneducated, incompetent people to handle border crossings????

Heck with our Canadian passports and our Mexican "Residente Permanente" visa's we can waltz through inmigration in Mexico.
