Hi guys. I just wanted to take the time to introduce myself. I have been a member here for several months, but haven't had much time to come around and really participate yet. Hopefully now I can find some time to get involved in discussions as I am new to the sign business and have a lot to learn.
I am part owner of Simply Signs & Screenprinting located in Metamora, Illinois. We are a one stop shop for banners, signs, graphics, screen printed apparel, offset and digital printed products, and promotional products. We feel that good quality art and layouts will give us a competitive edge over some of our competition so I am here mostly to learn more about sign layout and design as well as materials and manufacturing techniques. I am also interested in sign/mural painting and perhaps participating in a few Walldog events in the future.
Anyway, thanks for having me here. I can't wait to participate in this great forum.

Thank you. I already made that purchase two years ago and have read through it all at least a couple times. I think my next purchase will be ths Dan Antonelli logo design books.
By the way, sorry for the double post. I'm not sure how I managed to do that.

I would recommend signing up for the next Walldog Meet. It is an excellent way to meet colleagues from around the world. If you are interested in mural work or not, this is a great way to learn about bringing a piece of work to life!

I will be signing up sometime soon. Finding time away from the daily grind here will require me to get a few days ahead on art and production around the shop but I'm up for the challenge.

John, it does take effort to schedule around any meet or vacation but it is so worth it. When you recharge a bit you will be more productive when you get back. AND you will meet some great people at a meet!

On another note, I just picked up Dan Antonelli's Logos 1 and 2 books from Amazon today. I should have them by Tuesday. I can't wait to read them and let you all know what I think. I've been wanting these books for some time and decided to break down and buy them.
