I just got word of a mural project with a $7000CDN budget...and the wall is 70' x 17'H!. Am I right in thinking that's far too little for such a project? (unless my mural comprises of one colour )

Just as a reference the international murals pricing guide lists that square footage at ~ $30,000
So, yes it is WAY low, however, I guess it would really depend on subject matter, if it could be done stylistically in really simple color masses you could do alright. That would be if all materials and equipment was supplied. Somehow I'm guessing neither of the above is the case.

Just to give you an idea of what I mean by simple.... BTW, these are images I pulled off the net, not mine.
Sometimes simple is simply nice.

$7000 might sound a little low but you can still make a good profit on a job like this by doing something simpler like Kelly is referring to.
You can only spend so much time on a $7000 job. I wouldn't spend more than 2 weeks on it by myself including the design.
