Pat...there are tons of stuff to do in Charleston,....there is always the battleship Yorktown with tours of a WWII aircraft carrier and a couple of other ships there in the harbor...the city is rich with history with plenty of museums and tours...the old slave market and the history museum come to mind here...downtown in the market area and the battery are a world to themselves like walking back into a pre civil war era french quarter and market area,....you really don't have to look to far for things to occupy your time....

They have a good aquarium downtown, but you may want to pack a cooler and head for the beach - Sullivan's Island or Isle of Palms are both great....
