Anyone have a really slick way of hanging a DiBond or Alumalite sign from a yard arm? My supplier has brackets that sandwich around 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch MDO but nothing for as thin as the aluminum composite panels.

I have used those hangers with dibond, I just made shims out of dibond the same size as the flat sections on the hangers. I think it was 1/4" dibond though so it only took an 1/8" piece on either side.

I thought about that. I'm not really all that happy with those hangers as I've had to drill bigger holes in them. By the time you get a quick link big enough for the thickness of the looped area, it's too big for the hole they have.

small panels... I just drill through the aluminum... larger panels, for a swinging sign, try using one of these: "screw pin anchor shackle" (do a google search on that term and you'll see what I mean)
even larger sign panel then I use aluminum angle stock ("L" shape), cut to length, and screw through both faces.

The screw pin shackles will tear out after some swinging in the breeze. Got to have more surface area against the dibond. I sent you a drawing of what I have used, Dave.
