Just saw this on facebook and thought I'd share it,...Jimmy Jolly is a dear old friend of mine and he would call me a coupla times a year for going on over 25 years to help with the last minute touch ups,...well seems I'm not quite physically able due to health issues the last coupla years so it looks like he is gonna have to do it on his own,...I don't mind though,it's kinda nice to see NASCAR finally giving credit where credit is due,..to the guys behind the scenes that make the event the special event it actually is,.... check this out,...

Tim, Brings back a lot of memories! Like to know how many miles of retaining walls you and I have painted! I swear that one leg is shorter than the other from all the years of painting on the "high banks" at Talladega! Add me to the list with Don. Three old guys can team up and do a better job than some young guy could do!!

Tony I probably have the record for the second slowest lap at several tracks,...seems the only guy slower is the paving company,.. I have a feeling you understand how much work it is to get that record,...rule number one is ya don't spill no paint on tha speedway, never mind the fact they want you to paint a wall 3 feet high and over a mile long right next to it...if there is any questions refer back to rule number one
