It is with great sadness. My friend Michael Boone passed today.. He was so looking forward to enjoying his newly redecorated house..

I remember awhile back I had made a comment about looking for some feathers, then one day I get a package...it's a box of vinyl, but I hadn't ordered any vinyl. I open up the box to see what kind of vinyl it was and it was a bunch of turkey feathers. I look at the return address and it was from Michael Boone. I had called him to thank him for the box of surprize feathers, he sure got a kick out of it. As I did also. I never got to meet the guy so I'm saddned of the news of his passing. Rest in peace brother...

I never met Michael but we had some great conversations on the phone. He called 2 weeks ago and was offering help on a project. I'm also stunned - he's one of those people you instantly like.....

I am shocked to hear that my friend, Mikey has passed. We swapped Vidailia onions for apples. I met him at Old Paint's several years ago. He will be missed. Prayers going out for his family.

I am very saddened to hear this. Boone was a delightful person, being at his farm was a blast. I have been the recipient of some of his care packages as well, and he would occasionally call just to say howdy. He will be missed. Love....Jill

Mike was a good friend. We swapped, cheese and hotsauce, jams, pecans and garlic. Once he sent me a case of the finest tasting apples on the Planet. Michael helped me learn how to lay gold leaf and loaned me one of his books on gilding. I will miss the texts on FB, the phone conversations and was looking forward to another visit and overnight stay when he came down to visit his grandkids. I wish I could have taken him up on that bowhunt invite up it NY. I'm just shocked. This was so unexpected.

i am devastated. if there is anyone that i was closer to then hennie, it was boone. loved him like a brother. i now know the pain he musta had when he was told i died. i was lucky and came back, sure wish he would.......i have a hole in my heart that will never go away. we talked about when it was our time and he said he wanted to just go to sleep and wake up dead..........i love ya mikey.........

What a shock. Shirley said she found him in the shop when she came home from work yesterday. Don't know the cause. HS Norton Funeral home in Sodus NY will be handling the funeral. As of 2:00pm, 1/31, no details. Their website is hsnorton.com
He told me last spring he was going to phase out the signmaking and retire to garlic farming. He planted 12,000 per year and sell it to the local restaurants. I bought some and planted it in my garden, Sooooo good (and big)
