Thanks for all your kind words. Imagine... a blood clot to the lung and a sixth heart attack all within 3 Months.
It's good to be out of the hospital, but the news isn't all good. The old heart is so beat up, no heart doc will touch me. If I was to survive another major heart attack, they say I would face living life as a drooling fool like OP. Just kidding Paint. With Joey missing, you are the only one I feel comfy with giving a hard time.
After a discussion with the Doctors and Barb, I have made a decision to put a Do Not Resusitate order in place. This means the built in defribulator that came with my pacemaker is being disconnected.
I figured it better to tell all of you myself rather than get second hand information. This don't mean I am doing a Body Painting Demo in Paradise this weekend. It might be years before the "Big One". Just want to be prepared.

Geez, your a tough nut Steve. We all should take it day by day, 'cause life is fleeting at best. I hope you are comfortable, and that I see you again on "this side". You are certainly one of the most ardent and treasured "Keepers of the Craft". Your efforts here at Letterville have made my life better in many ways. All the best.

Steve, yer a tough ole cat with a very perverted sense of humour!!!
Shirl and I love you and Barb!
We feel bad that we didn't "hook up" this past summer.
If you guys could get here to Mexico, we would love it!!! (Think free room and board!!!!) No serious walking, we have wheels (actually two sets, our Ontario plated SUV and our landlord's Texas plated minivan. Both available). Serious good wireless internet, with 2 other options active and available.
The pool is still tolerable at 75F..You won't suffer "turtle dick" Steve!!!
Unfortunately, no snow!!! LOL
Best of luck my friends. You guys introduced me to a whole new world in the signmaking business.
We would LOVE to introduce you guys to a different way of life here in Mexico.

Steve...I don't travel to meets or anything like that so Letterville is my only avenue to ask questions and learn things pertaining to sign making...I have even let my Signcraft subscription run out...but you know along the way in life it is good to know that in some way one might have made a difference for the good in the lives of others...you should feel good knowing that your efforts here have made that a reality for this signmaker...thanks...and I think your description of OP hit the nail on the head...you maybe were even a little too kind.

Nearly fell off my walker when Rick said that!!!! HAHAHAHA, I'll never forget the Gold conclave in LA, Steve and Barb,Rick and I going into an all-u-can eat Japanese Sushi restaurant, I never saw Steve move so fast as he did for that door!!! HAHAHA, thanks for the memory Rick...good times...hehe We've been around this town (Letterville) so long we've grown old together, we are, most definatly, FAMILY, complete with crazy Aunts and drunken Uncles, dopey cousins (OP) and grumpy old guys (Si) I owe a tremendous amt of gratitude to both of you for this place and all the lifetime friends I have made as a result of your dedication to keep it up and running. I truely love you both. Hope you can take Grundy up on his offer, heck I want to!!!

I'll second Adrienne's feelings about Letterville and the great thing Steve and Barb have done. This place is home to so many sign makers. By coming here we found folks who talked our language, understood the very same things we were passionate about. I've been dropping in since 1998.
Through this place I've made so many great friends.
THANKS to Steve and Barb's efforts they have brought together people from around the world!
My heart goes out to Steve and Barb.

If not for you and Barb, I would not have met many new friends the past 5 years in the sign business. Letterville has given me the opportunity to learn about and try new things. Although we have never met, I appreciate all that you have done and hope that you have a speedy recovery. You have been a blessing to many artists looking for answers which is a pretty great legacy. As a favorite fictional character would say, "Live long, and prosper." It just seemed to fit right now.
Sign-cerely, Steve
