....no, not that anniversary.. October 1st, 1999, I punched a timeclock for the last time and went into the sign business full time. It was one of the scariest days of my life but I'm still glad I did it.

Congrats! After going back to work for others earlier in the year, for the first time in 13 years, I am putting some serious focus in getting my biz going in the right direction again. I was burned out on the sign biz, but now I am enthusiatic and realize just how good I had it. Live and learn!

I know that, Wayne... Someone once commented that people who used to own shops and now work for others.
Personally, there is little about full time self-employment that I really miss. Twenty plus years was enough for me.

FALL 1986, in sarasota fl. got fired, FOR THE 1ST TIME(23 years, working up to that point) from a job, by a 21 year old kid)))))))he didnt last another week))))) went home, dug out my lettering brushes(had been doin signs as side work since my teens)and started making phone calls to people i knew who might need a sign. didnt know i would still be doin this at 67!!!!!!!! now its more of something to do when i am not playing in the clay)))))
