I figured I'd capitulate on all the creative brilliance on this forum and maybe have some fun as well. I have a client who wants a family cabin sign but they don't have a cabin name. There are three families involved, parents (60ish)(farmers and conservative) , daughter(doctor)& son-in-law(lawyer), and son and grandson. Main criteria, to depict family, a safe place for grandson who comes from a broken home. Secondary - lawyer entertains clients there There are two last names involved, one is the family name and the other the lawyers. I suggested they could possibly handle this by having a rider or panel with the two last names, ie: Brown & Smith.
The location is a large heavily wooded lot on a prominent lane at a lake.
So basically they are wanting something that depicts family first and prosperity second.
Definitely Gold leaf on this one..... any ideas, links or suggestions appreciated. Yes I know I'm not in the cabin naming business, but it's for a shirt tail relative. He wants to do it as a family Christmas Present, and I believe I will be compensated for any time spent.

Anything near a lake would be, Just a Little Bit of Heaven. If that's too long, how about Owlhoot's Roost? Just my 2 pennies. Peace and good luck. Don

Might be a little long but IMHO howz bout..."How Did We Ever Get Involved in this Cabin Deal with Such a Scumsucking, Greedy, Could Care Less About the Truth, Larval Form of a Politician, Lowlife Maggot, Called a Lawyer"....just my 2 cents for what it's worth.

Thanks for all the ideas, I sent them on to the client. Susan's suggestion of Clearly Haven twigged the name Clearhaven or Clear Haven in my brain. I like the solid feel as well as the Scottish/English ancestral feel to it. It has a bit of grandeur in the way it rolls of the tongue, yet it is equally suitable for a family cottage.
