Kristi and I just got back from Larry White "Deadman" Meet and had a great time.
Took some time on the last day to do a video walk through for those who couldn't make it out to the San Francisco Bay area for one of the best Gilder's Meets going.

Wonderful things! Brought back memories of Rick and Lola. Thanks to all those who continue to learn and teach this art form.
Just a thought. With the populaity of "picker" and auction shows, you just gotta wonder what this sort of stuff is worth. It isn't going to happen overnight, but if you have the dream and determination, you can make your own. There are people here in Letterville that will help if you are serious about learning.
Thanks Ron. Miss you guys.

What beautiful work! Its nice that some of the old ways of gilding is being taught so that it isn't lost. Need more people with deep pockets to buy it.

The Collectors are learning of the letterhead panels, at least the one I'm around. They say it's getting harder to find sign painters with the skill set to restore the reverse glass signs. We refer the collectors to the Artist list in Letterhead Sign Supplies Gallery.
Steve,,,,I miss you too,,,,Saucy!
Yeah Si, Larry's work is top notch

My mind wanders. And that's not a good thing, 'cause it's too small to be out there alone. Posts: 3129 | From: Tooele, UT | Registered: Mar 2005

Loved the video Ron....Larry is one talented dude. Is there a group photo of this years Deadmen???
Too bad that more ladies do not partake in this wonderful art....maybe their ruffled, bustled dresses would be a hazard swooping around all that gorgeous glass work...(ha ha)
Thanks for sharing your golden experience with us...always wanting more.
