Earlier I had posted about my brother, Wayland, who is battling Stage 4 cancer. All of the chemo treatments had no effect on the tumors and he has now been placed on hospice with no further treatments planned. Prognosis is that he has two to five weeks to live.
Wayland is one of those perfectionist types, so he he getting everything planned and organized for the end. He has lived a life of faith that gives him no fear of the future.
Thank you for your prayers and thoughts for him. Please continue to remember him that his final time here will be peaceful.

Thoughts and prayers for Wayland that his faith will keep him strong and bring him peace as he prepares for the next chapter. I feel that you also have a grip on the situation too Raymond. I hope you and your brother will have some quality time together before he finishes the race.
Sign-cerely, Steve

Raymond, I hope your entire family can be as 'at peace' and understanding as you are . . . You walk the talk, my friend. That will help everyone.
Peace.

I wish the very best for you and your family, Raymond. It's a reminder that we need to make the best use of our time with each other and appreciate the time we have. I'll be sending my own thoughts of peace and ease to your brother, you and your family. My own mother passed from a similar set of circumstances...in her own bed and with her children and friends at her side. We should all be so lucky.

The Pastor at our church said "Christians never say good bye, just - see you later." What a comfort it is to be a believer. Blessings to you and your family.

Losing anyone is such a lost, temporary, "Until we met again" But what a blessing to be able to actually get a chance to say all of those things you wanted to say to people before you go. So many people leave this world without getting that chance. That last "I love you" or "I am proud of you" can really make a difference for people on both sides of the fence. I pray the Lord gives you the strengh of lions as go go through this chapter of life.

I remember Wayland from the Letterhead meet at his shop back in the early '80s. It's tough dealing with situations like this. I wish you, Wayland, and the family the best in this.

I am a firm believer that the end of this life is the beginning of something far better, so I am actually happy for Wayland. My sorrow is for you and the rest of the family, who I know will miss him very much.
You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

In addition to Wayland, I have a cousin who is a year older then me who is in her final hours of battle with cancer.
Earlier, she was given about two months to live, but had a blood clot that went to her lungs early Saturday morning and was then given just a few days to live.
Her situation is very sad because she has no belief in a life after this one. Her husband is in a nursing home and they have no children. I will be responsible for her funeral. That's a tough assignment.

Ray, my thoughts and prayers are going up for Wayland and your cousin and also for you and the rest of your family.
Was Wayland at the last meet we had at your shop? If so, he was a tall, slim, quiet fellow with a mustache who had a cowboy way about him. We had a chance to visit on the last day of the meet and he made quite an impression on me.
Being responsible for your cousin's funeral IS a tough assignment but, as Jay said, you walk the talk my friend.

Last evening my cousin, Sharon (69) died after a very short battle with cancer. I will be conducting a memorial service for her Saturday.
I haven't mentioned some other folks in our lives that are struggling simply because this forum is about signs and not my personal life...but, we are family, so I'll mention them.
Our niece, Jenny, is in very critical condition with a rare breathing condition. She is in her early 40's and has a husband and two boys. Right now she is in a coma and the prognosis is not good.
Also, our daughter-in-law (Mike's wife) is to have a MRI the first of the week because tumors have been found in the lymph nodes of her neck.
In times of stress we rely on powers beyond ourselves and have confidence that all things work together for good.
