I am looking for the least expensive way to print on either vinyl or decal material in full color.
I am currently printing with sublimation on decal material in full color usually about 8x10 in size with dark black backgrounds behind the images, so the print always uses the full sheet. I think its costing me about $ 2 to $ 3 per page but don't really know. I print quite a few of these and would like to know of a cheap way to print a scratch resistant image on either vinyl or decal stock of some kind if anyone has any suggestions. right now I do not have to laminate either. but would if it would be cheaper. currently only printing about 10 pages per day but think I will be doing more. Thank you

If your only doing 10 pages a month, the cheapest is whatever you are already doing. Anything else is going to cost a BIG investment.

If you are expecting on printing thousands of the same 1 or 2 color design, screen printing would be cheapest. If you are not going to print large layouts, a Gerber Edge setup would be the simplest and most versatile setup.

If your planning on doing larger decals and banners, a solvent inkjet and laminator would be the right direction to go but you have a huge investment and learning curve.

Stick with what you have and job out larger orders until you have a game plan and a customer base to feed it.

Im doing 10-15 pages a DAY now but looking to do more. I Have screen printing equipment, but that is too expensive since i do several different designs and most are full color detailed images.
I also have a gerber edge, kinda the same problem shuffling in all the colors for full color then I think the cost is higher than sublimation. and more time consuming.
I was wondering if eco-solvent or lazer printing would be as cost effective? I would have to laminate them if using these I think and that would drive the cost up also. but don't know what the going cost is on either of these to per foot price and lamination cost.
thanks
